I began my career as an actor and worked extensively in both theatre and television. Fans of BBC1's popular hospital drama 'Casualty' may well remember me as the paramedic 'Jane Scott', which I was lucky to play for four series. Thereafter, I wrote and produced a short film entitled 'Fluke', which excited my interest in writing, directing and being behind the camera.
This led to setting up a training and production base on the Isle of Man called the Manx Multimedia Centre. During my time with the MMC, I co-wrote and directed a number of short film dramas, which led to me becoming a director of education and corporate films.
As a result of having worked both 'in front of' and 'behind' the camera, I developed a passion for cameras, lights, and capturing dynamic and aesthetically pleasing images. I understand what an actor needs from their headshot, and do my best to bring this experience and knowledge to my work as a headshot photographer.
I continue my love of drama storytelling and directing by delivering 'acting on screen' training at East 15 Drama School and the Actors Centre.
